I have an intermittent stabbing pain in my left calf. Have I got deep vein thrombosis?

Deep vein Thrombosis is characterized by pain with heat and redness at the area of pain. So it doesn't sound like that is what you describe. I would agree that the simplest diagnosis is potassium deficiency. Which as the other person told you can be cured by eating a banana. If this doesn't help it withing 30 minutes or so I would take a look at your physical activity. Is there something that isolates this particular muscle group? If not see your Dr and let them assess you.

Go to the Dr. and find out. You can't just guess from a pain.

No it could be muscle cramps thats all.. but better check with a doctor... he will help!

You need potassium...sounds like a cramp. Eat a banana.

could be a blood clot don't take a chance.get a saw and cut it off above the knee imedietly.

See a physio, they'll sort it out!

are you sure someone has not nailed a piece of wood to your leg while you where sleeping,my friend did this to me recently and i could not understand the nagging pain i kept getting until he told me what he had done !! oh how we laughed when he told me !!!!!!!!!!
