Faintness and stabbing pains?

Hello,

I was at the cinema this evening with my girlfriend and she suddenly said that she felt sick. We left the film halfway through and she kind of slumped on the ground breathing very heavily and claiming to be feeling "very ill" and "a little faint". I was with her the entire time though and she didn't lose consciousness, she just breathed heavily for a while and then started to feel better.

However, as we headed home, she complained of an intense stabbing pain in her calf muscle. I have felt there and there's no tightness but if you rub it it hurts. The pain comes and goes and it's now about an hour and a half after we got home and she's occasionally woken up by it, though these moments are fewer and further between. She also said that the pain isn't moving.

She didn't want me to call NHS direct but I can't help but wonder if this isn't deep vein thrombosis or something like that and that she might have had some weird heart palpitation in the cinema.

Anyone have any ideas

she was epeleptic

meaning that she is sensitive to rapidly changing colors or flashing lights

If she slumped, feels suddenly ill and feels like she may faint, she needs to go to Urgent Care.

I am no doctor but I have had a similar pain in my leg without the ill feeling or faintness but it could be something serious. My doctor had me checked out for blood clot in my leg. I don't know my pain was very much like a charlie horse about to happen but didn't but I do know that if there's a blood clot it could end up in her brain and cause a stroke!! Can you call a hospital helpline in your area to talk to a nurse to see if its something she needs to be looked at but don't wait something could be very serious there and my saying is expect the worse but hope for the best. At least if she gets it checked out she can't say she didn't try to help herself from getting into a very devistating situation like a stroke or heart attack, I am a nurse assistant and work in a nursing home and know that at any age people can suffer from anything at any time and living with a stroke is no joke, being dependant on people for the rest of your life is no way to live or even as my grandmother died from one...please dont mess with it and don't delay if she cares of her future get it checked out an ultrasound ruled out a blood clot for me and to get moving around eliminated much of my leg pains I've been having cause sitting for a long period of time can cause clots. Anyhow good luck and see/talk to a professional immediately!
