My dad is 67 he has been told that he has an aneurysm in his eye and that is common in older people.is it so?

the other medical condition is that he suffers from deep vein thrombosis in his leg which is kept in tight control with medication and checked fortnightly with blood tests. this aneurysm has given him limited vision in the eye. cannot seem to get any info on the web. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would say that occular aneurysms are not normal in anyone, regardless of age. I would suggest you have him see a neuro-occulist.

Check www.webmd.com for aneurysms in general not necessarily in eye. An aneurysm is an enlargement of blood vessel locally leading to a bulb like enlargement and if it bursts, can cause internal haemorrage etc.

Discuss with his doctors your concerns.
