Suddenly settled deafness?

I was diagnosed with suddenly settled deafness at the right ear. It happened over-night and the 3 months treatment had no results...Now I hardly hear with that ear and I have this terrible noise in it, known as 'tinnitus'...I really don't know what to do next...The doctors won't give me any chances to hearing again... Anyone else having the same problem here ? :)

i am ok,but its a neurological problem u have faced mostly .,did hearing aids or surgical implants been offered ,hope in medicine is always possible, who knows what tomoorow can bring seek more than one opinion ,if its neuroligical i think the hope is dime

wow! That's got to be a curse. To be deaf and have tinnitus. That is like a worst nightmare. I'd go crazy if all I can hear is the never ending ringing. wow! sorry to read about this. I hope they find a cure soon. If I went deaf and with tinnitus, i think i'd kill myself. I mean seriously. It might drive a person insane. 24/7, nothing but ringing and buzzing etc and no other sound to take that away. Maybe do lots of reading and dreaming.

wow, i feel for you. I do hope they find a cure.

mine is like spring time crickets
chirping chirping always, sometimes I think I hear a vocie or baby crying sooo much noise

hearing tests show need for 2 hearing aides, but it wont cure the tinitus or make the volume go away.
I have had this 9 years
