Random Deafness? |
For about the last 6 years I have noticed, short bouts of "ringing" in my ears (sounds like hearing through a muffled speaker and that odd high pitched static you sometimes get from tv's),it happens occasionally and doesn't seem to have a trigger,it usually only lasts a couple of hours in one ear. (sometimes swapping to the opposite side before it vanishes *Tinnitus?*) well the scars from the prioro ear infections can certainly play a teoratical role but this can not be proven since you are describing a normal audiology testing. exposure to loud noise can cause this too. as long as your audiologist is happy, I wouldn't worry about it, since abnormalities in this test would then suggest further workup. do remember to see the doctors again if the symptoms persist or worsen, good luck |
