What can correct unilateral sound-conduction deafness?

Also, what can be done for acoustic nerve deafness?

Nothing but hearing aids. I am not aware of any other known solution for Unilateral deafness.

One of the least common causes of acoustic nerve deafness is also one of the most worrisome: acoustic neuroma, which is a benign tumor of the auditory nerve. Acoustic neuromas are worrisome because of their location -- they are right next to the brainstem and may thus cause very serious problems as they grow. If there are no obvious explanations for asymmetric nerve deafness, it is often necessary to order a special study, such as an MRI, to eliminate the possibility of acoustic neuroma.
