How does deafness affect the human body?

How does being deaf affect the human body?

It doesn't, other than the fact you cannot hear. It can cause some mental anguish, not being able to communicate well with others, feeling left out and not a part of, during discussions etc. It could be dangerous if you are in a situation where you are unable to hear a threat approaching, and not being able to hear music well, seems to take away some of the happiness and fullfillment of life, but other than that it isn't too bad, as a matter of fact it can make life more peaceful, serene and less stressful.

I think it causes a person the inability to hear things.
Although I have been wrong in my life, how about you?

can affect your natural balance, affects sensory awareness of your surroundings.
