How do I clear deafness in one ear?

I've been deaf in one ear for 6 weeks after a heavy cold.Doc says could take months to clear..great help!Any usefull suggestions?

Warm vegetable oil applied with a q-tip. Keep your head to one side, let oil do it's thing.

It's strange that after 6 weeks the doc didn't give you anything to help you. I'd get a second opinion, or go back ask if he can syringe your ears to clean them out. I think you can also pick up ear drops from the chemist to disperse the build up that's causing the blockage.

this is a homemade remedy: chop up an onion in tiny little bits and wrap them in a cloth- place on ear for a couple of hours. I usually put the cloth under a winterhat so I don't have to hold it.
Also...I know it kinda smells bad but you get used to it. This works especially if your ear is clogged up and it hurts. It basically only relieves and makes it somewhat better but it doesn't fix your ear completely. There's no guarantee on how well it works. Get well soon!!

good old fashioned olive oil will help clear blocked wax or ask doc to syringe it out for you

YOU SHOULD ASK THE DR> THAT! Maybe blow a hair dryer at your ear, not too close tho. the warmth could help.

i think its time to go back to your doctors.if you have no joy there are lots of over he counter stuff to buy your oharmacist wil be able to help.or you could just cup your bad ear with your hand and use the good ear instead

fire an ounce of lead into the other ear.

that should clear it!!
