Listening to music while sleeping?

Is it good or bad habit?
What are the results of doing this ? Eg. some say it can lead to deafness.
My dad says ur brain needs to rest while sleeping, and music doesn't help that, you ll feel tired the day after.

Please give me some advice !!

PS.while sleeping, i'm listening to music on speakers, not headphones

My own personal opinion is that if you are listening to music while you sleep .. and the speaker system volume is down at a low level .. it will not cause you deafness.. I listen to talk radio all the time to help me fall asleep .. and the radio is on all night. Perhaps you can set a timer on your system to shut off after an hour or two .. once you are alseep .. you don't really need it on . do you ? .. Good luck ! :)

I know lots of peeps that do that. It's relaxing....as long as its not the headphones cuz that's bad for ur ears. Also, keep it low enough to allow you to hear if an intruder is in your home or especially if the fire smoke detector goes off........you want to hear that right! Keep it low and y ou'll be fine.....nite nite
