Can cystitis clear up on its own?

ouch >_<
i've had cystitis (or so i think) for about a week now, i've taken a diluteable medicine witch don't seem to help. i was told to go to the doctors if it didn't clear up within two days of taking the medicine, but i just dont have the time at the moment. im trying to drink a stupid amount of water and cranberry juice, but i also cant leave the coffee or alcohol alone.
is there anyway cystitis can clear up on its own? or maybe is there any home remedies?

Well I just read on a site that taking a salt bath can help for a home remedy. Other wise it's antibiotics and lots of fluid. I hope you feel better soon.
