Help - Cystitis??

Ok, so for afew days Ive had to pee alot more often, and needed to go urgently, but then find it difficult to go. It was also burning when i went, and felt like I didnt empty my bladder. But this morning i have been bleeding after peeing.
Last week i went to the doctor and she thought i have thrush/BV, but the test results have not come back yet. Is this cystitis? I have taken one sachet already. What can i do. Please help, im really worried.

Phone your gp results should be back any time, cranberry juice is very good for cystitis, will stop the stinging when you wee

yes, that sounds like cystitis. needing to go more often, burning pain and also, when you do go, not a lot comes out are all symptoms of cystitis. dont worry, it is treatable and pefectly normal to get it at some point. it doesnt mean you are dirty.

Get your doctor to pre-scribe you some antibiotics that will clear it up.

Yep it sounds like cystitis to me. I had that once and it was not very pleasant. Drink PLENTY fluids and get a course of anti biotics from the doctor. Dont be worried you will be fine.

hopefully you have health insurance
go to the ER if you have a fever
if you don't have a fever, go to your MD/urgent care in the morning.

if you are sexually active, make sure they check for STDs which can have similar symptoms - - like chlamydia, herpes (needs a blood test for that...)

Definately Cystitis. Go back to the doctors now and tell them your weeing blood etc, they'll give you some antibiotics. Weeing blood (or afterwards) is normal for cystitis. I was panicing a week ago cos i was too (and have had it every month the last 5 months!) but my doctor assured me it's common. Ouch though, don't wait, trust me the pain doesn't get much better without the antibiotics, the doctor will get you on them immediately!

try ural

lots and lots of water and cranberry juice... but not too much cranberry as it can dry you out. stay well away from fizzy drinks for the time being.
once you're on antibiotics...it takes no time for the stinging to go away. good luck x

I have never heard of a cyst doing that to a person sounds more like a urinary track infection or bladder infection, I would definatley contact your doctor and see if the results are back and let them know you are still having symptoms. Yes do drink alot of fluids though... and yes, cranberry juice is the best thing to drink... and if you dont like it, you can mix it in with some gingerale or drink a cranapple or crangrape too! Good luck, I hope you feel better soon!
