See a doctor if you really want a cure.

If you're CERTAIN you have a UTI condition that isn't being alleviated by fluid consumption, then it's time to carry yourself off to the doc. UTI symptoms left unchecked can steadily and rapidly progress into much more serious conditions, such as kidney infections. ANY infection of the urinary tract should be treated with antibiotics; home remedies are pretty much only good for PREVENTION, not treatment.

Cranberry juice is a preventative thing - it doesn't really work if you already have it. Make sure you're drinking stuff with no added sugar - it doesn't taste as good but more sugar will only add to your problems.
OK, so to get rid of the symptoms now, as the others have suggested drink loads of water. Not like a glass or two, but drink as much as you can without feeling sick. I usually drink two glasses, have a little sit down, then drink another two. It flushes all the bacteria out of your system and you'll go for one big long wee and hopefully that should get rid of the worst of the symptoms. If it continues though, go to the doctor, it might not be as simple as flushing it out.

And in future, to combat any flare-ups, cut down on sugar, and yeah, cranberry juice is a good idea. If you're sexually active, try and go for a wee after you've done it - it gets rid of any bacteria that might have been transferred during.

You can get sachets from the chemist which you dissolve in water. very good. Also use paracetemol for pain and spend time in a nice hot bath.
And keep up the cranberry and water once you are better but not till you've used the sachet. Hope u feel better soon.

Most of the cystitis treatments have bicarbonate of soda in them which makes them taste so disgusting (just a warning), i have bought some before and mixed it into cranberry juice which really helps and is basically whats in the cranberry flavour sachets you can get, less embarrassing and cheaper. If it hasnt gone within a couple of days go to the the doctor as you may need antibiotics.

Although some people swear by it, there is no clinical evidence to support the use of cranberry juice...plain water is best. Drink as much as you can to help flush any bacteria through your system. Make sure you avoid using bubble baths, scented soap or vaginal sprays until your symptoms have settled. A shower is better than a bath but if you can't manage that, keep your bath water warm (not hot) and do not sit in it for more than 10 minutes or so.When you've been to pass urine make sure you wipe from front to back at all times.
If you are getting any pain then paracetamol should help. There are also products you can get from the chemist to help settle your symptoms.
If your symptoms don't settle or if you develop any worsening or new ones (like fever, back pain, blood in your urine) then you really need to see a doctor. Sometimes antibiotics are needed to settle things down. Don't be embarrassed, this is a very common problem that Dr's deal with all of the time.
Good luck...hope you are soon better.

A teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water about 3 times a day.

cranberry juice won't work, it doesn't have a lot of actual cranberry in it. Try cranberry tablets from the herbal shop.

go to a doctor..u will just get worse...pala x
