What is Cystitis ? |
What is it ? Why do you get it ? and how long will it last and is there anything that can be done about it ? It's an inflammation of the little tube that leads to your bladder. You basically feel like you have to pee often, or it stings/burns when you do... Usually comes from irritation, or bacteria (such as after sex). Depends on what causes it. You may simply need to pee immediately after sex to prevent it, or get a prescription for an antibiotic. There is also an over-the-counter pill called AZO-standard, which numbs the urinary tract (and turns your pee orange) until you can get to a doctor. I would go to a gynecologist to learn more about your specific circumstances and preventing it in the future. Could be as simple as drinking cranberry juice daily (acidic environment may help). Good luck! Cystitis is having cysts, which are basically encapsulated body fluid (watery stuff). Cystitis is another word for Bladder infection of UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) they all stem from the same problem, infection of the bladder due to bacteria that is pushed into the vacuum of the urethra. You can read more here: Cystitis is the infection of the bladder due to microorganisms. including tuberculous. The longevity of the infections depends on a) severity of the disease and b) the response of the organism to the medicine, Remedy is the treatment a) general measures, b) Specific treatment (i) medical and (ii) surgical |
