Cystic Fibrosis help?

Alright. I have cystic fibrosis(CF) and I need to know what's going on. I am going to ask my mom about it. I just think that she'll think it'sstupid that I care.

I have this skin thing goign on. It's not dry. Or anything. There is just this red stuff on my face.. all of the time. I wish I had a pciture to show it. It's all over. And just today, it spread from just my right side to my nose and chin and between my eybrows. It isn't irritating. I can't reallyfeel it. But it get's darker and more visible when Icough. when Iwas younger the doctors told me it was dead blood cells, but now that seems unbelieveable.

I hate what is happening tomyface. And I want to get rid of it.

Please help me.Oh,and I would take a pciture of it but I don't have the card reader for my camera with me.

Sorry, my space bar is on the fritz.

Hi, Sara.

I'm a 40 year old CF'er so hopefully I can help answer your question. I can't see the skin condition very well in the pictures, but if I'm correct you basically have small red dots all over your face beneath the surface of your skin. If that's the case then I had that issue many times and it only got worse as the CF and associated coughing progressed. Basically you're coughing so hard that you're breaking blood vessels in your face. There's not really anything you can do about it other than wear a good foundation make-up to help cover it. I never found anything to make it go away any faster, appear less red, etc. I used to have it in my eyes too, although the shape of the blood vessel was more apparent vs. being a dot.

You might want to talk to a dermatologist or one of your CF nurses since they may have some tricks to help...or maybe you'll get some better answers on this forum.

Best wishes.
