Is there any cure for cystic fibrosis in India better than hospitals? |
I belive that there is a medicine for cure of cystic fibrosis soewhere on the world but where? did you ever hear for something like that Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease caused by a defect in a gene that regulates the transport of chloride into and out of cells. It is the most common fatal, inherited disease, affecting on in 2500 live births. Both parents of a child with CF are carriers of the defective gene. The odds are 1 in 4 that the child of two carriers will have CF. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cystic_fibr... my daughter suffers from cystic fibrosis she has to stay on the birth control pill to avoid cyst forming in her ovaries. She was diagnosed at age 13 and will have it for the rest of her life but the birth control regulates and stops cyst from forming good luck There is currently no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. There are treatments, but no cure. I believe Caroline S. who says her daughter has cystic fibrosis really means FIBROID CYSTS. Birth control pills for prevention then makes sense. There is currently no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The closest resolution we have once we get to the end stages of the lung disease aspect is lung transplant. The transplant cures the CF in the lungs but we continue to experience the other problems associated with CF (digestive, osteoporosis, reproductive, etc.). Of course transplant, while being a wonderful miracle, also brings its own challenges with the immunosuppression routines and side effects from some of those medications but the post-transplant medical routine is much easier to manage than the pre-transplant program (especially as the disease progresses). |
