Cushing's Syndrome? Other medical problem? |
I have had secondary ammenorhea since I was 13 (I'm now 19). Birth control was able to remedy the problem but I've been off the pill since the summer and my last menstruation was in November. Also, I have a weight problem that is concentrated solely around my abdomen (approx 10-15lbs)and a little in my face. No matter what extremes I go to, I never lose any weight. I was tested for diabetes and hypothyroidism but both tests came back negative. I was wondering if it could be Cushing's syndrome. My dad had a pheocromocytoma, a rare adrenal tumor and I was wondering if there could be a genetic link causing me to have adrenal dysfunction? Try http://www.webmd.com/. Good luck: Blueladybug |
