I'm always sick... i seriously only feel good once a week, if that. please read!?

i'm always tired, i always have a massive headache, i usually have a stomachache, i'm weak, i can't concentrate and i can't think. i am always sick like this, since about May. i feel good once a week, if that. and when i say "feel good", it means i feel well enough to get out of bed and get something done. i missed so many school days last school year from not feeling good that i became homeschooled so i wouldn't fail administratively. that was around january of 2007. i didn't feel good a lot, but not as much as i don't feel good now.

and today i woke up to a sinus faceache and postnasal drip as well....

what do you think is wrong with me?

at the end of my freshman year (june 2005) i had surgery to remove an adrenal gland because i was diagnosed with cushing's syndrome. i am cured of that now, my cortisol levels are fine.

my mom thinks i might have chronic fatigue syndrome. but what do you think? and how can i feel better? thanks.

a lot of times i have shortness of breath, too. like i feel like i can't absorb the oxygen in my lungs and i breathe really heavy and sometimes hyperventilate randomly.

Hi, Im Chris. I have Lupus an autoimmune disease. Besides the fatigue and saying you had ben diagnosed with cushings disease, you didn't give to many more symptoms. However I do know ehwn you have one autoimmune, its not unusual to have another or have a pre cuser/post curser type which would be the CFS/ or Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

I have 4 sutoimmune disease's that I know about sad to say: the Lupus or SLE, Autoimmune Hepatitis, Sjogren's, and Raynaunds. I have in the past as pre cursers had CFS in my teens and Fibromyalgia in my mid 20's before they found the actual Lupus.

Since there are over 100 recognized autoimmune diseases by the Autoimmune Association, Its very hard to say what you may or may not have, but somthing is not right, it can be one of many. Have you seen a dr. recently, and had any type of blood test for autoimmune diseases done? Do you suffer any pain? joint, muscle migranes? Rashes? Depression?? The list can go on.

Like you when I am in active Lupus Flare, like right now, I can't seem to do anything, and seem to have 1 maybe 2 decent days, the rest of the time I just kind of lay in bed, or walk around with what is called brain fog.

I own an autoimmune support group in yahoo groups, we are a very high posting group, but we have a lot of information, several researchers, and we are close and any number of us can help point you to the right type of dr's, which I think you need to see a Ruematologist at this point. Ill leave our link below. and you can hit on my profile and email me. Ill also give you a few links that may help you, Ill also post the Lupus critera, see if you meet 3 or 4 without the bloodwork. even 2. if so get tested, because just with the test for that, they will test for several other related autoimmunes.

Diagnostic criteria for lupus
The following criteria are used to distinguish lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, or SLE) from other autoimmune and rheumatic diseases.

A person with 4 of these 11 conditions can be diagnosed with lupus; 3 symptoms suggest that lupus is probably present, and 2 raise the possibility of lupus. Symptoms may be present all at once or appear in succession over a period of time. 1

Butterfly (malar) rash on cheeks
Rash on face, arms, neck, torso (discoid rash)
Skin rashes that result from exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light (photosensitivity)
Mouth or nasal ulcers, usually painless
Joint swelling, stiffness, pain involving two or more joints (arthritis)
Inflammation of the membranes surrounding the lungs (pleuritis) or heart (pericarditis). This inflammation is called serositis.
Abnormalities in urine, such as increased protein or clumps of red blood cells or kidney cells, called cell casts, in the urine
Nervous system problems, such as seizures or psychosis, without known cause
Problems with the blood, such as reduced numbers of red blood cells (anemia), platelets, or white blood cells
Positive antinuclear antibody (ANA) test
Signs of increased autoimmunity (antibodies against normal tissue), as shown by laboratory tests

sounds like you seriously need to see a doctor. could be something serious.

I think you can be cured with proper dietician advice. Foods are medicine. Try reliv.com. Try prayer. 1800-759-0700

Hi and sorry to hear your not feeling well, I am home bound with a sickness as well. Sounds like your mom may be right. The first thing I thought of when I read you only feel good 1 week a month, I remember saying that when I had my period. I went on the depovera and felt great. But however, that is something to look at. It sounds like your blood count is low, way low. You may need some blood work done. I would recommend that you call your doc and tell him or her what is going on. Something is wrong and you need to call them and tell them what is going on. You should be very active not home sick all the time. PLEASE CALL..hope you get better soon. Good luck and I will wish for good health for you.

While you are checking with your doctor.. Let's narrow this one down. Are you using any artificial sweeteners like Aspartame or Splenda. Like, diet sodas, sugar free gum, Splenda to replace sugar. If so... See if these symptoms ring a bell http://www.dorway.com

Next question. Are you eating whole foods or processed foods? Like, would you rather pick up a piece of fruit first or open a small bag of chips? This is very important, because you are manufacturing 600 billion cells per second.

Its crucial that your cells make better copies of you.

Message me so that I can send you and your mom a web site for a cellular restoration test.

drink more green tea and be more active also stop all toxins like pot and smokes get regular check up try to eat healthy as well

Cystic fibrosis could be it. Hope its not because that would be very serious.

go to a doctor and get some blood work done and a checkup.

First, I would make sure you don't have Lyme desease. My neighbor has gone through all kinds of hell for seven years, including surgury, until he was finally daignosed correctly and put on heavy duty meds. Second, I would look into Celiac desease. My wife had many, if not all of your symptoms, especially fatigue and digestive issues. Three different doctors couldn't figure out what the problem was. My wife ran into a nurse who had Celiac disease and suggested she get tested for it. Celiac is when your small intestine lining has an auto imune reaction to wheat products, causing it to attack itself. When the lining is compromised you can't absorb any of the nutrients in your food resulting in many of the symptoms you describe. My wife got tested and diagnosed with Celiac. There are no meds or cure, but if you stop eating foods with wheat products your intestines will heal and your symptoms get less and probably go away completely like my wife. Now after three years of gluten free diet my wife is in the best health of her life. Also, take note, this is an inherited condition. Health is mostly about what we eat! Take care.
