Is cubital tunnel syndrome with nerve damage covered by ssi disability?

I had ulnar decompression surgery that failed. It has worsened my situation with extreme weakness, numbness and pain.

you need to have a Doctor back up the claim that you cannot work ever again'
if he/she is willing to possibly have to go to court with you and testify that to be true.. sound like you got a good claim

Oh, crap! I'm sorry to hear that, both for you AND me! I just got diagnosed with this syndrome, as a result of trauma. I know this isn't an answer, but I will keep a close eye on the answers you get.
Good luck!

I'm currently on ssi, had ulnar nerve relocation surgery. The problem with ulnar nerve damage,is that it leads to atrophy of the hand if not caught in time, as was my case. This damage is not reversible, but total loss of function can be delayed with physical and occupational therapy. If the pain is unbearable, there are numerous ways to combat it. I have tried morphine,Oxycontin, and opium.I have never been fond of drugs and don't think in the long run they add to your quality of life. I finally found a pain management specialist that recommended a spinal cord stimulator. It is a electronic device installed in my back that blocks the pain.I have been drug free for over 2 years now.As far as qualifying for ssi, alot depends on which state you reside and their definition of disabled.I wish I could help you more with that question.I wish you all the luck in the world.
