I'm not a medical professional, but it sounds as though you might have pressure on a nerve in your elbow, neck or shoulder that is causing these symptoms. See your family doctor, who will refer you for testing to determine the source of the problem. Don't put it off, because the longer you delay, the greater the possibility of permanent nerve damage. Don't be alarmed, but do follow up soon.

The only help for carpel tunnel is surgery, go see your doctor. it's a simple procedure and it can be done in like 1/2 hr. - 20 min. tops.

You pull the ulnar nerve when you bend your elbow and the structures in the area may be inflamed and swollen. There are lots of potential therapies, but in the end, whatever works works.

go to the drugstore and get a wrist brace that has a splint in it. Sleep with that every night. If you do a lot of repetitious wrist work during the day (typing, scanning at a store, etc.) wear it then, too. Also, if you are medically able, take anti-inflamitory (like asprin).

I had carpal tunnel when I was pregnant -- doctor told me to do these things, though I didn't take the asprin because I was pregnant.

Good luck.

It sounds more like trigger finger. That tendon does go through the wrist and into your arm. Go to the doc and have him check it out. You may just need to wear a splint for a few weeks.

i'm sorry but i think you mean carpel tunnel syndrome; the only cure is surgery and 9 out of 10 surgeries aren't successful! if you do the same things you have done before surgery...you will get it again...there really is no cure

Cubital tunnel syndrome or unar flossing is usually a repetitive motion injury of the elbow. Have you tried sleeping with your arm extended. Ace wrap a rolled towel to the inside of your arm and sleep that way. It will take a 3-4 weeks to get any better with the brace.
