Can you figure out the diagnosis to these symptoms? |
Symptoms include: RSD, cubital tunnel syndrome, several herniated discs in lumbar and neck, diabetes2, glaucoma, neuromas, extreme skin changes (ie- has become mottled, changes texture and color, may be red or gray, temperature avg 101.2 most days, very bloated abdomen that is very hard like a rock (looks very pregnant), extreme pain in bones, joints. Very swollen lumps, size of half an egg on wrist joint, elbows, etc. Elbow on L feels like a hot screwdriver is poking inside it each time it is moved (x-rayed, no fractures), easy bone breakage of toes, back of hand and fingers, losing hair rapidly, aged rapidly over 5 years (when this started with broken toes that couldn't heal). Fatigue, RLS even in daytime and in arms as well as legs, several times a month. Vitamins/minerals/herbs, physical therapy, Rx drugs have not helped much. Have always been vegetarian and eat organic, whole foods. Drink at least a gallon of water a day. Always feel too hot, love in the 50s. Need fans, ice caps. I have been going to many specialist docs. I understand all the Dxs, but I think there is an underlying cause. The docs are leaning toward some kind of immune disorder, but not sure. I'm 58, past menopause, do have osteopenia, also. Have always been healthy, active, hiking/biking, motivational speaker, artist, theater artist, teacher and trainer. Never had an energy problem, either. Stayed healthy, exercised. No drinking or smoking. Lie! I did used to drink a little merlot or really good red maybe once every week or two with dinner with hubby. I am now also wheel-chair confined. They are delivering a power chair in a couple of weeks. Wanted a look through fresh eyes, maybe someone has seen something like this or similar. My docs are open to listening. Or could someone send House? :-) have you and your docs considered the possibility of LUPUS? please check it out and see if you can rule it out as a possibility. my sister at age 19 had many of these symptoms. swollen joints, skin problems, fevers, etc. She suffered multi-system organ failure and we didn't know why until the last day of her life. please look at this website - the symptoms listed here sound like yours...http://www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/lupus... you're very welcome! i really hope you find the answers you need. i will keep you in my thoughts and prayers... Report It Well first off diabetes, cts, rsd, glaucoma and herniated discs are diagnosis not symptoms. As for the other symptoms......whoever is experiencing them needs to see a doctor STAT!!! sound like to me you need to be asking a doctor about all these things, i dont think anyone on this sight would be able to give you the accuracy you need and if you are having all these symptoms good grief go to the doctor... i hope the best for you.. What do your blood tests show??????? |
