Crutches and stairs?

i recently broke my right leg. i'm just wondering if theres a good way of going up and down the stairs with crutches other than sitting on the stairs and going from there because i'm hoping to go back to school on tuesday, and ill need to have something figured out by then. thanks in advance :)

Use the elevator (aren't schools supposed to adhere to the Americans with Disabilities Act too?) Other than that, your best bet is to hold the crutches in one hand, grab the hand rail with the other, and hop. Take it slow, as the added weight of the cast kinda affects your balance. Put the crutches on the step ahead of you to help you stabilize yourself when you get there. Best to have a friend carry your books. Don't have your friends carry you, as although it sounds cool, it generally turns out you get dropped and hurt more. Best of luck.

I spent 10 months on crutches a long time ago. The best way to go up and down the stairs is to put both crutches under on arm and grab the railing with the other. By holding the railing you can use it as a safetly if you lose your balance. If you are just holding the crutches you may fall. I hope this helps.

The condition you are in will put stress on muscles you may not have been aware of ... Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things.
Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it
