Crutches or wheel chair? |
i broke one leg pretty bad and have a hard cast on it all the way to my thigh i have a hair line crack in the other and have a plastic walking cast i have been using a wheel chair for a week and is hard to get around in my house can i use crutches? If it was me I would probably be trying it, however what did your doc say? I wouldn't really advise it, because I'm guessing it could slow down the healing. just go into the doc's office and see if you can walk around in crutches...if you can walk around then i suggest renting them and trying them out for a few days...if they hurt or are more uncomfortable then bring them back but i think it will be more convenient That one you should reffer to a registered nurse of MD not to the masses. ask the Doctor for his opinion then see what is best for you i would only use the crutches if u are allowed to bear weight on the leg that isnt in the plaster cast... otherwise i would stick to the wheelchair... u can always call ur doc and ask them that is what he/she is there for |
