Should I consider using the crutches?

So last Thursday I sprained my ankle and it still hurts so yesterday my mom took me to a podiatrist and he gave me an ankle brace and said if it wasnt better in a week come back for MORE xrays. So lol today I was SICK of those darn crutches so I decided not to bring them to school. That was my firstmistake. My second mistake was to walk around at every moment possible(Idk why I thought it would get better but guess not)
So it hurts bad now, and I cant walk on it except for walking pigeon toed and even that hurts! It aches when sitting down and standing. I cant stand on it for more than 10 seconds. It swells. I was on crutches and the podiatrist said to use them but try not to all the time. My mom told me to bring them to school and if I didnt need them dont use them....but I HAD NO WHERE TO PUT THEM so I left them home. I wanted to call her to bring them because it hurt so bad but I told myslef "Be strong"
But now it hurts more than ever even with brace.
Should I use the crutches???

You can answer this question...it hurts more because you didn't use crutches SO...yes, use your crutches. Pain is your body SCREAMING that you are doing bad things to it and it is not ready for you to walk on it--you are doing damage. So, Ice, elevate and no weight bearing!!!
