I'm on crutches and my hands really hurt. What can I do to make the crutches more comfortable? |
Don't worry,I have the crutches adjusted correctly, about two inches below my armpits, and my arms are bent at around a 40 degree angle,it's just my hands that hurt from putting all the weight on them. Won't towels make it too thick to hold on to? Oh I have been on crutches since December and I have the same thing. My hands are callused on the palms. I started using those gel padded gloves for biking. They look kinda stupid, but definitely help. wrap hand towels around the bars your hands hold...this will make a nice cushion for your hands...use masking tape if u have to....hope u feel better soon !! you can get some sheep skin handles and you can wear gloves. i was on them for over a year. and did both. |
