HELP... walking with aircast and crutches..?

ok broke ankle 6 1/2 weeks ago and doc. gave ok to walk on aircast with crutches and wean myself off the crutches.. it still hurts and I was wondering when u think I will be walking with no crutches and just the aircast? it's so hard, how do you do this? any ideas???? PLEASE HELP!!!

When he said ok to walk, he didn't across town are around the mall, he meant short distances, like around the house or the yard.

The time it takes to heal depends on how fast your body rebuilds the bone. The longer you stay off it, the better. You walk on it and you are just putting more stress on the little parts that have already healed and that is not good.

Stay off it as much as possible for another week or two. Don't be running all over the neighborhood.

Broke both bones in lower leg, I was in a plaster cast for 6 months. Report It
