Do i need crutches !!!!!!? |
well this morning i ran to school and i did somehting to my ankle when i put just a little bit of presuure on it i get excruitinating pain ..... ............. i have wraped it an dput ice on it and it hasnt felt any better .... i drag my foot and its hard to wallk very hard and i dont know if i should get crutches and my mom knows ............... but idk wt i should do .. if i need crutches or not i don't think you need crutches. you probably just sprained it (twist it suddenly). i had a similar incident once and had small part of the ankle bone fractured. i found it difficult to walk but all i needed was a walking stick for a week or so and i got a lift pass at school. i went to see a orthopedic specialist and had a few xrays to see what was wrong with it. i went to physiotherapy three times a week for around three weeks. after that you probably won't feel any pain at all. so i advise you to see the doctor and get some xrays just to see what's wrong with it and whether you need any treatment or not. naw walk it off.. get medical attention, that ankle might turn into something worse. listen to whatever your parents say cause they know best. and yeah this is coming from a teenager. Same thing happened to me but it was on my bike. Its sprained and the bone is most likely bruised. I am on crutches for a 5 days or a week...it stinks, but I know it will help because when I aply little pressure I also get excruciating pain. Ask to go to the docto and you will probably get an x-ray. Then the doctors will determine if you need crutches or not....if so a tip if yoy get crutches, still wrap the ankle. I hope you feel better! |
