If your 5'3 or on crutches what is your crutches set at? |
if your 5'3 and useing or were using crutches what was your crutch height set at? They're adjustable. What may be comfortable for one person that height may not be for another. So, just adjust to where it's comfortable for you. We'll I'm 5'6" and have been on crutches off/on most of my life. IT's a very long story. The short end of it your crutches should be about two inches below your armpit. It you are on Canadian I think they should be to the middle of your forearm. Your height has nothing to do with where they should be set. The crutches should not press into your armpits. Set them about 2 inches below them. Adjust the hand holds, too, so you get about a 30 to 40 degree angle as your elbow bends. Everyone is different. If you got them at a Doctor's offfice, some one should have fitted them to you. Good luck! If you stand upright, your crutches should be approximately two inches below your armpits. If they are too high, you get sore pits, if they are too low, you wreck your back. |
