My 3 years old son has croup and he is coughing hard everywhere. How to keep him away from my 4 months baby? Aww...poor guy. Simply keep the baby in his room until given the all-clear by your primary care physician. Croup is an airborne virus, most children will not contract the virus as a cough, but will exhibit a head like cold. Since a virus is airborne, there is really nothing you can do to keep your 4 month old from being exposed to it. Have the 3 year old wash his hands before touching baby! Keep moisture in the home for easier breathing for you 3 year old! Good luck and I hope your little one feels better! |
