My Beagle is coughing!!!? |
He started suddenly -- sounds like croup--he's eating, drinking and is healthy other than this croupy cough--he's up to date on shots and everything--he doesn't cough at nite. Any thoughts??? Allergies maybe?? It's not the normal Beagle wheeze that they do when they get excited. I would take him to a vet. allergies is a possibility. and i dont want to worry you but coughing is usually a sign that they swallowed something that could be stuck in thier throat. i suggest, if it persists to take him to a vet and have x rays done. You need to get him to a vet...dogs can develop pneumonia just like people, and it needs to be treated Are you sure it's a cough? Dogs don't cough unless they get something stuck in their windpipe. Our beagle makes loud noises like a cough when she has post-nasal drip as she tries to clear her nasal passages. Could that be it? I agree with getting your beagle to the Vet. He or she can evaluate your dog and go from there. |
