I was on a whole bunch of steroids and now my period is very irregular -- question? |
Hi, sorry in advance if this is too much information, but anyway: Also, please don't just say "Go to a gyn." THANK YOU! The steroids have caused a hormone imbalance. An endocrinologist can help, or you can see a hormone specialist, It might take 30 days or so to rebalance your hormones. Any bleeding that lasts for 10 or more days needs to be evaluated by a doctor to determine the cause. Bleeding for this long plus heavy bleeding can lead to anemia so it's really best to get it checked out. It's very possible that you have a hormonal imbalance occurring, but the only way to know for sure would be to have a blood test done to check your levels. If it is a hormonal imbalance, there is nothing you could do to regulate it unless you see a doctor. |
