Birth control and crohn's disease?

i may have crohn's disease and it acts up sometime when i am near my period. will birth control make it worse or better?

I've got Crohn's also... mine seems to be worse around my period too, but it's mostly just menstrual cramps and such. It may seem like it's your Crohn's flaring up, but it probably isn't. And birth control won't really effect it at all.

Have you been to a GI doctor yet? I'd ask him/her the question.
