Crohn's disease advice? |
I have lived with Crohn's disease for 6 years......and I was wondering if anyone knew of a special diet that REALLy works to reduce symptoms? My symptoms are steadily getting worse, and I don't want to end up in the hospital again taking remicaid infusions for months and be put on a liquid diet! Please, any advice welcome! Along with diet here are some all-natural supplements that have been very effective. Look iunto the arena of Probiotics. They have worked wonders on things like this, and MDs never prescribe them. I have crohn's as well and I have found that being on a organic diet without too much dairy or fiber has reduce all my symptoms and they only comeback when I eat unhealthy food or get really stressed out. I have not taken any of my meds for 4 months and feel better than ever. my cousin had crohn's disease. He joined a support group with people that have the disease. Watched his diet. took different medications. and eventually had surgery to have colin removed. Now he is cured and back in the air force flying jet fighters again. My husband has that too and there isn't really a special diet out there. You have to watch what makes your symptoms come. Food, stress, what ever the reason. For my husband it is the spicy foods, alcohol and other things. Figure it out and try to stay away from it. Good Luck |
