Can I really heal myself from Crohn's Disease?

I do not want to have an 8th surgery for my Crohn's disease and I don't want the drugs. I am going to a place called The Chopra Center and try to heal myself. Is it possible? Does Meditation help? Here is my blog so far...

All this information is great, Thank You!

First, Crohn's disease is an event, like Tuberculosis, that is a result of our modern diet. Primitive cultures were resistant to these types of diseases and many others because their diets contained high amounts of nutrients that are missing from our foods today. Just go to the Mausoleum where dead food is held in state and look at the junk as you walk down the death row aisles. There is very little nutritive value there. Most people are not aware that Cavities are a result of modern man's diet as well. Primitive people did not have cavities and amazingly enough they didn't put fluoride in their water supplies and didn't need fluoride toothpastes either. In fact, they had no need to clean their teeth of tartar either. They had good jaw formations that allowed their teeth to come in and not be crowded.

Many studies have been done indicating pasteurized milk as one of the culprits in Crohn鈥檚 disease. Previous research found that the mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP) was present in about 92 percent of patients with Crohn鈥檚 disease, compared to 26 percent of patients in a control group.

MAP is present in about two percent of commercial pasteurized milk. So, not only does pasteurization kill the beneficial bacteria available in milk, but it leaves a potentially harmful organism alive and well. Making matters worse, the conventional recommendation to drink milk that has been pasteurized at even higher temperatures is far from helpful.

What nearly everyone fails to appreciate about pasteurized milk is that although the pathogenic (disease causing) bacteria are killed during pasteurization so they can鈥檛 multiply, they are NOT removed from the milk. The dead bacteria are STILL IN THE MILK.

If the bacteria are there, they can serve as a stimulus to your immune system and cause all sorts of autoimmune diseases, Crohn鈥檚 disease being only one example.

Instead, RAW milk from healthy grass-fed cows is actually one of the more profound healing agents you can turn to when confronted with inflammatory bowel disease, like Crohn's. Rather than cause it, raw milk can send your IBD into remission. This is because if cows are raised properly and only fed grass, not immunized, given access to plenty of fresh air and sunshine, and not given antibiotics or harmful vaccines that impair their immune system, then they simply do not get sick or become colonized with these pathogenic bacteria in the first place. Thus there is no need to pasteurize their milk.

What many also fail to appreciate is that pasteurization is NON discriminate in its ability to kill bacteria. Pasteurization kills the GOOD bacteria in the milk that actually makes you healthy and can reverse diseases like Crohn鈥檚.

An additional cause are parasites. These are not easily detected and in a lot of cases cannot be found until after death an a thorough autopsy is performed!

It is not easy to be healthy in America. In 1905, the CDC reported less than 5% of ALL Americans were chronically ill. In 2005, the CDC reported that over 53% of ALL Americans are now chronically ill. Does that sound like Americans are being fed good, quality food and that our medicines are really helping us to be healthy? NOT.

Inflammation is the body's natural immune response to infections. It is how the body causes more blood to flow to the infected area, so it can deliver the necessary nutrients that can heal the injury. If the nutrients are not in the body, the injury won't heal properly and the inflammation will become a chronic problem, like in Crohn's.

An imbalance of the two essential fatty acids, omega 3 and omega 6 will make the body inflamed. Most Americans have huge stores of omega 6 and little omega 3 fatty acids. It's not enough to just take a bunch of omega 3 fatty acids, but one should put foods in their bodies that are close to the 1:1 ratio of these essential fatty acids to fix this issue and avoid foods high in omega 6's. Commercial beef found in the Mausoleums that house the dead foods (super markets) are very high in omega 6's because the feed Angus Beef grain in feed lots and allow the animals to walk around in their own feces. Grass fed beef is healthy and contains a good omega 3 to omega 6 balance. Wild fish, NOT FARM RAISED, also are a good source of this balanced scenario, as long as they are not cooked at high temperatures.

Vegetable Oils, like Soybean, Canola, Cottonseed, and Corn are terrible for you and contain lots of omega 6 fatty acids and when heated, these unstable oils form TRANS FATS with just a very little heat.

Many parasites go undetected and Crohn's is a result of this. A typical sign of parasites is the feeling of tiredness. Many doctors misdiagnose this as some other ailments with fancy names, like Epstein Barr, etc.

I suggest you do the following to make a good attempt at fixing the crohn's:

Go to: www.organicpastures.com Buy your dairy products from them, especially RAW MILK, Colostrum, raw butter, and raw cream. Like the primitive people, this will provide nutrients that make you strong, not weak and contribute to disease. Eat fermented vegetables and make your own keifer milk and Kombotchu. These provide organisms that heal the body, not damage it like drugs with all their so called "side effects."

Also, go to: www.healthline.cc (not .com) and purchase:

keifer grains --- to make your own keifer milk from raw milk
Parastat --- This kills the parasites in the intestine
Paracidin --- This kills the liver flukes in the liver.

Take maximum dosages of both of those. They are natural herbs and no chemicals. I would also purchase the "super food trio" in capsule form, not powders.

All these things above will contribute to your solution. I think you will be very surprised at the results and how well good nutrition can work for you.

You can try.

Here is a place that has self-hypnosis tapes. I have bought from them before.

3 books on disease symptoms and treatments

you could also get these books on ebay or amazon or a half price book store. (last two are very similar)..

3.Professional Guide to Diseases (Springhouse)

Hi J here,

Evidentally yes.

I remembered seeing that you could when I was on a site welast year looking for information about healing my liver. Pain killers have run riot with it. Now back to you.

I have copied some info for you, not all. As it was volumious and I have put the site below for you to look at.

This information and her books are researched, and written by a Dr. Dr Sandra Cabot. She is having excellent results and runs research trials to prove her studies.

Go and have a look and read. The books are not expensive and if you are in the usa probably Amazon would be best to buy them from. I had an email yesterday they are giving 25% off on books at the mo.

Take care and I sincerely hope this helps to improve your health. The liver diet is certainly doing it's thing with me.

Kind regards J

LEAKY GUT SYNDROME-includes chrohns see below
If the filtering and/or detoxification systems within the liver are overloaded or inefficient, this will cause toxins, dead cells and microorganisms to build up in the blood stream. This will then increase the workload of the immune system, which will become overloaded and irritated. The immune system will then produce excessive inflammatory chemicals, and in some cases, auto antibodies, because it is in a hyperstimulated state. This may lead to symptoms of immune dysfunction such as allergies, inflammatory states, swollen glands, recurrent infections, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia or auto-immune diseases. Some of the more common autoimmune diseases are systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), sclerosing cholangitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, vasculitis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Immune dysfunction is common in the chemically overloaded environment we live in today, and is exacerbated by nutritional deficiencies inherent in processed and high fat diets. Suppressive drugs are often used to treat symptoms of immune dysfunction.

Simply put, the digestive tract consists of a long tube, which connects the mouth to the anus. After food is swallowed it passes through the esophagus to the stomach, where it is churned up with acid and stomach enzymes into small particles. This then passes into the small intestine, which is around 20 feet long. The most important function of the small intestine is to digest and absorb nutrients from the food particles that arrive from the stomach. In the upper part of the small intestine, secretions from the liver and gallbladder (bile), and the pancreas (enzymes), are inserted through a small tube (duct), situated near the pancreas gland. Another vital function is to act as a barrier to prevent the re absorption into the blood circulation, of toxins, microbes and macromolecules.

When the digestive tract (also known as the intestinal mucosa) is inflamed, you can develop what is called a "leaky gut". This means that large food molecules, endotoxins and xenobiotics can pass straight into the bloodstream and be presented to the liver for detoxification. They should not be in the blood - so the immune system reacts to them, immune complexes are formed and these complexes travel to the liver where they are broken down. This places an enormous burden on the liver, stressing its detoxification capability. As a result these substances may be partially processed and accumulate in the liver and fatty (adipose) tissue. Research in recent years has uncovered the important connection between the health of the human body and the integrity of the gut wall. It is now well established that inflammation of the intestines and a resultant increased permeability of the intestinal mucosal wall has a connection with conditions such as infection, food allergy, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, dermatological conditions, colitis, or auto-immune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis), Reiter's syndrome, eczema and other 鈥榓llergic' disorders.

Clinical Conditions with Altered Intestinal Permeability:
Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Malnutrition-Malabsorption
Accelerated Aging

Crohn's Disease

Intestinal Infections

Ulcerative Colitis
Endotoxemia
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Autism
NSAID Enteropathy
Celiac Disease
Chemotherapy
Inflammatory Joint Disease
Giardiasis
Food Allergy
Trauma
Alcoholism

It has also been speculated that the combination of leaky gut and dysfunctional liver detoxification can lead to increased fatty tissue stores of toxic compounds and depressed immune system function.

Causes of leaky gut
Some of the most common causes of a leaky gut are: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) usage, intestinal infection, dysbiosis, parasites, maldigestion, deficient
immunoglobulins, ingestion of allergenic foods, alcoholism, ingestion of toxic chemicals, high sugar diets, antibiotic use, oral contraceptive pill use, trauma and endotoxemia.

Identifying the cause is an important first step in reversing altered permeability.

How do I know if I have a leaky gut?
It is possible to measure the permeability or 'leakiness' of the gut wall by a simple test available through diagnostic laboratories such as Genova Diagnostics in the USA or Australian Reference Laboratories in Australia. You can safely assume you have a leaky gut if you suffer with one of the "Clinical Conditions with Altered Intestinal Permeability" listed above.

How can you improve the integrity of the gut wall?
Treatment of altered intestinal permeability is very important for several reasons. Increased permeability can contribute to, or cause, a wide range of reactions and conditions as noted above. Intestinal inflammation can cause malabsorption and malnutrition, leading to a wide range of conditions relating to deficiency. Correcting the altered permeability can have an immediate effect on relief of symptoms and a gradual improvement in the underlying condition. There are a number of therapeutic substances, some listed below, which can be used for mucosal support to correct intestinal permeability.

Maintain a healthy population of microorganisms in your bowel
It is important to be aware that your bowels may be harboring excessive populations of unfriendly microorganisms such as fungi (most commonly yeasts such as Candida albicans), bacteria, viruses and parasites. The term parasite is used to describe a great variety of creatures that vary in complexity from single celled organisms, all the way up to worms that may be several inches or longer. Common disease causing parasites are Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, Blastocystis hominis and Cryptosporidium, which can be very difficult to detect with routine stool analysis and cultures. When a stool specimen is examined for parasites many of the yeasts that are seen are already dead. Stool cultures therefore often fail to reveal the presence of fungi even when the gut is heavily infected. Some laboratories will examine repeated fresh stool specimens obtained after inducing mild diarrhea with laxatives and this will increase the chances of detection.

In the US

Yes, you can. You should read the book, "Patient Heal Thyself" by Jordan S. Rubin he tells you how he healed himself from Crohn's. It is a very good book. I would recommend anybody who is suffering from any kind of health ailment it is very inspiring.
