Cramps .........?

I started my period and it only lasted 2 days . The first day I was cramping bad and had so much pain in my legs and felt like throwing up , couldn't even eat . Then the next day I felt fine and that night I wasn't bleeding anymore . I feel like I should see a doctor but I wanted to see if this ever happened to anyone before.

well actually im 21 , but not till about 4 months ago I started having these horrible cramps , I mean sometimes the pain is enough to make me fall to my knees , I just figured that they were normal cramps it was just my body adjusting . It just scares me because I always here about these horrible diseases like Endometriosis .

I'm not a woman, but I have had really bad cramps. For me calcium tablets knock them out fast.If you are the skinny type(like me),eat plenty of salt.

Hi Lizzie, Welcome to womanhood!!
I take it you have only just begun menstrating. Is this right?

Cramps are very common and they can become very distressing when you are young. I know, because I suffered just like you.

I would suggest you see your doctor about this, but please don't stress. Your body is going through huge changes(because you are young) but you should not have to put up with this pain.

I understand about the nausea as well.
Your dr. may prescribe to you a very low dose hormoanl pill just to help alleviate some of the symptoms of pain and nausea felt with your period.
Or alternatively, there are medications called analgesics which help very much. Ponstan is one of them. But you may need a prescription. If you have a sensitive stomach, you may not be able to take this. There are some good, safe pain killers out there as well.

Another thing, your body may settle over time, once your hormones change again. You may find these symptoms disappear.

Make sure you get plenty of rest and eat a well-balanced diet.
Exercise is also good. Yoga, walking, cycling, low-impact areobics.
A warm bath may also help.

If you are very worried about it, I would suggest speaking to your local dr. or school nurse.
He may want to run tests but my guess is he prescribe some analgesics for you.

I wish you well : )
