Cramps after my menstral?

I started my period on sunday afternoon and ended it yesterday night (july 1st). Today I had (like an hour ago) major cramps. So I went to the bathroom and I felt really lightheaded and I felt like I needed to use the bathroom (number 2) then I couldnt but my stomach was in major pain..(it felt like sharp needles poking me inside) Then a few minutes later I went to the sink dabbed water to my face...and once I left the bathroom I felt like I had to throw up. So I went back and I threw up. after that I waited for more to come up but nothing. Then more cramps came and I had diahreah. So I got water and I drank some water and Now I feel fine but I am feeling mild cramps back and forth. It is not as bad as before but WTF...This never happened before...Any ideas?

also...Ive been getting constipation..and when I force poop out some spots of blood come out. now my but crack hurts. its been going on before and after my period. sigh.............these things piss me off. esp. when its so damn late.

I'm a Registered Nurse and this doesn't sound to me like it is related to your menstrual cycle. It sounds more like a stomach bug or related to something you ate. There is a slim possibility that you are sensitive to your hormone shifts (nausea and loose stools can accompany periods in sensitive individuals/usually women in early 20's or teens) -- but, usually this happens the first, couple of days of flow (and generally isn't diarrhea = just loose stools). I'm assuming you started your period LAST Sunday and ended yesterday (?). I read the above answers and wanted to add this: I have endometriosis and while severe pain and other complications effect me adversely, the diarrhea isn't a common part of the picture. Keep - up the fluid intake (ice chips, popsicles, sips of water, jello) and rest. When you feel like you can tolerate solid food, introduce bland items in small doses. Rice, dry toast and bananas are good choices for diarrhea etc. If you cannot keep fluids down/in your system and you become dehydrated (dry tongue,lips/skin/mucous membranes, dizziness, confusion, sunken eyes, headache, extreme thirst, etc.) or if your abdominal pain worsens, you spike a fever, you experience heavy, vaginal bleeding or don't improve over next, few days -- see a Dr. right away! Also, take note when you have your next, menstrual cycle: do you have the same reaction? If so, see your Dr. **I'm sorry you aren't feeling well:(

My stomach just feels a bit sore..its growling at me cause I am hungry and I feel normal. and this feels like a regular tummy ache. I havent pooped yet but im sure ill be fine. Report It

-- glad you are feeling better:) -- Report It

I think thatsometimes there is a little cramping as the womb is closing up Report It

Endometriosis is a possibility based on the symptoms you have described but this needs to be evaluated by your dr to see what they think is going on.

It's a strong possibility that this has absolutely nothing to do with your period. It just kind of sounds like a little bug or something bad you ate. Give it a day or so and see how you feel. If the cramping continues I would seek professional medical advice. Just try to lay down and rest, that's one of the best ways to get better.

Sounds to me like you got a dose of food poisoning. These are the guidelines to watch for: When you throw up, immediately down a full glass of water. This is so your stomach will be able to completely wash out (yes, you will probably throw up again) but you will not get the "dry heaves" cramping which is VERY painful. If you have diarrhea along with throwing up, it means your body is doing what it's supposed to do... getting rid of the offending "whatever" that you have ingested. IF, after you have cleaned out completely, you all of a sudden feel HUNGRY to the point where you want to eat again, you for sure just had food poisoning. BUT, if you keep throwing up and having cramps in your stomach and abdomen beyond 24 hours, you MUST get to your doctor. Hopefully, by the time you read this you will be feeling better. (I trust you are not still bleeding vaginally.) Feel better! See your doctor if you are not sure. Food poisoning is a common problem when the weather is hot, and it is Summer. Keep all foods refrigerated, and don't eat anything that has been left out overnight. Salminala is the most common form of food poisoning. It is odorless, tasteless, and CAN CAUSE DEATH! I've gotten it when eating at restaurant buffets where the food wasn't kept hot enough. Before we had proper refrigeration people used to get sick and die all the time, especially when going on outings and putting things like fried chicked in the trunk of the car where it was kept just warm enough (not hot) to grow bacteria. They say it's not wise to let hot food cool down before you put it away in the refrigerator. Food must be kept really hot or really cold. No in between there. Take care of yourself. God bless.
