Bad cramps?

I have extremely bad cramps. I am 15 years old and have been getting bad cramps for 2-3 months. I have had my period since i was 12 years old. Nothing really seems to help my cramps at all most of the time I can barely even get up or walk properly and everything. Is there an easy and quick way to help my cramps to make them hurt less then what they do now?

I'd recommend talking to your doctor about getting on birth control. I've recommended it to several of my patients who aren't sexually active, only to control their period and it's effects. As I'm not your doctor, I can't prescribe it, but talk to your parents and your OB/GYN or your general practitioner.

You might have to see your doctor who might prescribe something stronger than Midol if that doesn't help.

I have really bad cramps alot of times but i usually take two ibuprofen. and it helps it alot!!

You can try midol or pamparin . A heating pad usually helps me and also try walking it off. When you get cramps, your muscles are tightening up cause discomfort. So, if you walk it will relax your muscles. Drink plenty of water too. Good luck!

Go see you dr. He or she may prescribe birth control pills that will help. I seen it done all the time. Another thing, is do you drink a lot of caffeine? If so, you should start cutting back, you will be amazed the difference it makes during your period.

This always works for me!
DO NOT DRINK ANYTHING COLD!! It makes cramps hurt like a mofo! Then get a nice damp towl and warm it up in the microwave. Just hot enough so you can stand it.Then try to relax. This way is cheaper then buying those stupid things at the drugstore! Works better and longer too!!
Hope you feel better!!

You might want to get checked for endometriosis. It's actually pretty common, and one of the major signs of it is having REALLY painful periods.

I heard bananas help cramps. You could also get a warm water bottle or ice pack filled with warm water and lay it on the cramp. Hope this helps!
