Horrible cramps, nausea.. ect...?

Hello again,
I woke up today pretty earlier, went to the bathroom and noticed I started my period, I had light cramps that didnt bother me very much so I was able to go back to sleep. When I woke up the cramps were much much worse. I have been on my period for about 2 or so years now and I have only had cramps this bad a few times. When I first started they were kind of bad but nothing that would keep me from getting up and out of bed. Last november though was the first time I got them really really bad. It was much worse then today and I could barely move. Today there were pretty bad though, I get really nauseas and it keeps me from wanting to go anywhere. Last month I didnt have cramps very bad at all but it was alot heavier then normal. Its not as heavy now but im just in pain. I take midol extra strength with 2 ibuprofens but they only work for alittle bit. I talked to my mom and she just said a heating pad but that doesnt help much either. I asked about birth control but she..

said that birth control was not necassary and the process to get it (gyn) was not something I should do right now.
My older sister had to be put on birth control because she would throw up and pass out every month. So compared to what she had mines not that bad. I think thats why my mom is so not for the birth control..

I just dont know what to do..

When I was younger I used to be laid up with period pains, They made me physically sick, and they used to give me the runs. At times I would be stuck on the toilet with a sick bucket on my knee.
I would sleep all day, because being awake with the pain was just too excruciating. I had to take a couple of days off from school every month. It was horrible. I wouldn't wish this kind of pain upon anyone.

You say that to get birth control, you need to see your gyneacologist. Can your normal family Dr prescribe contraceptives?

I believe in these circumstances they would certainly help you. You don't need parents advice to go to the Dr, and they will always keep all the information given to them private.

If you are too shy to go and see your family Dr, it would be worth your while going to the local family planning clinic, and have a chat with them about the pain you are going through.

Please don't suffer in silence.

c ur gp asap

I had this happen to me too when I was younger. I ended up taking 2 200mg ibuprofins and that helps a lot. . Sometimes I would actually throw up and feel really dizzy. My family doesn't talk about this kind of thing very openly and I should have probably went to the doctor. I would reccommend if you are comfortable telling a parent and making a doctors appointment.
