What is the importance of a child's growth and development?


I am taking a class on child development and i need to state the importance of the growth and development of children aged infants to 5 years old.

Little children around 3 yrs old + are always curious about everything in his/her enviornment. I remembered mom took a bundle of pictures when I was a toddler. It was lovely & carefree. U dunno a thing, U just know how to laugh.
