Omega is important for small growing children's brain development why is it priced to high? |
How do health nutritionists expect everyone to comsume their daily recommendation of Omega when it's out of their budget? Remember that the oil actually has to be extracted form the fish or flax seed. I work at a store and when we get a discount on wholesale prices, it's passed along to the customer. Relatively speaking herbal and food supplements are less expensive than insurance deductibles and pharmacy costs. Also, in this day and age, we don't get enough out of our diets and foods: for example, selenium is an important mineral, and there isn't as much found in food anymore, because the soil is depleted. If you get a liquid oil, get one stored in glass, as plastic can leach into the oil. I think "medicine and health" is the best thing a person can spend their money on. Flax seed in bulk is inexpensive, like, two dollars a pound: grind it up and add it to smoothies or food. Your body absorbs nutrients better from food then pills/vitamins anyway. There's plenty off foods to get it from, esp. fish! There are really low-priced vitamins at Vitacost.com. It just takes a few days for them to ship your stuff, too. People have survived quite nicely without high priced supplements for eons. Eat a well balanced diet. Partially it's marketing. you don't have to buy expensive |
