I'm in my 1st trimester, is there somethin I can eat to increase possibility of my child becoming super smart?

Although I'm also taking some prenatal vitamins, I was wondering if there's something more natural I can ingest to help the development of my child's brain? Everyone wants to have a baby genius, and I'm no exception to that rule.

Sure, try a TIC-TAC..... At least if he doesn't turn out smart, his mom will have fresh breath.

nope. just make sure you're getting enough folate, not drinking alcohol, and not smoking.

no

Yea don't drink alchohol.

Mussels. If you can stomach them. I ate alot of them when I was pregnant with my third and boy did she turn out really smart.

When i was pregnant, i used to eat a lot of fish, and my son is in 8th grade now, and he's top of his class so to speak, his grades are very good. Maybe nothing to do with the fish, but ask anyone, and they'll tell you, fish is sposed to be good for the brain!

Congratulations:

Avoid junk foods, eat healthy ( no preservatives or pre packaged foods, avoid strong fumes) and exercise as long as you can.

I think you can create a higher intelligence after the child is born. You provide constant communication with the child as if it knows what you are talking about. Stimulate its mind by certain toys, colors, read even when the baby doesn't know words. The tone of your voice will keep it interested. Buy work books for mental areas that the child can play or draw and they don't even know they are using their minds like that. I can only say this from my own experience. I did the above and my children are very successful and intelligent.

Smile alot and stay relaxed so the baby is not stressed.

It's said that fish, walnuts, sage and rosemary are good for the brain (though that might be for yours rather than the baby's) but as long as you have a good diet, don't smoke or drink alcohol, that is the best thing you can do for your baby at the moment.

After it's born, the most important thing is to give him or her plenty of mental stimulation and plenty of interaction with you and other adults appropriate for the stage of development he or she is at.

I've also heard it said that crawling is very good for mental development but you can't help it, really, if yours is one that just gets up and walks!

It is in the gene's of the parents, not food
