How did being in residential child care affect you?

young people especially

It made making friends in the neighborhood really easy. I don't know if it affected me negatively, but I know it was the first time I realized who I was personality wise. I went to 2 residential day cares, and I have fond memories of both. I was with kids who were complete babies and cryed for their mommys....we became good friends, and their were tough kids too, but no bullies at that age really..i got along really well and learned lots of social skills.
