What exactly is "well child care"? When referring to health insurance...?

That's just when you go to the doctor but there isn't anything wrong with your child (that you know of anyway). These visits are usually scheduled at set times throughout the years.

It is a standard doctors visit for a checkup. Meaning there isn't anything wrong with your child, they just need to be looked at by the doctor and have their weight ,height recorded and perhaps have some immunizations.

Typically they are scheduled at 1,3,6,10, 12 and 24 months. And then again just before they start school at age 5.

Routine visits when your child isn't sick. (Annual check-up, shots, etc.)

Well child care refers to check-ups & immunizations...basicly things that are going to keep you "well" you may hear it also referred to as "preventative care"
