Do you think abuse is cause by the child at a young age before adulthood?

Children ten to make an excuse why they are abused but they should tell someone. I've seen children abuse they're parents hitting they're own siblings on The Murry Show and Dr. Phill. Teens today beat there own family and rob from them.

You know what....you have never had to know what it feels like to be hit, to have your head rammed into a wall for losing a piece of jewelry, to continue to be hit with a belt until you cried, or to be attacked with a butcher knife so SHUT UP.

Really it's people like you know make children NOT want to tell someone about what is happening to them. If a child is hitting their siblings, I agree with the person who said it's the parent's faults. Parents are supposed to be teaching their own kids about what is right and wrong.

As for the teens who beat up their own families and rob them-- it's the parents fault! Who else would have allowed that kind of behavior from the beginning?

When I was abused, I thought it was my fault because my parents told me. I think that I should have told someone but guess what? you need hard evidence. Your word doesn't mean anything. You really expect a child who is abused to take a pic of themselves all bruised up?

I hear abuse causes spelling errors too. It's awful, it really is.

OMG are you seriously using Muary Povich and Dr. Phil as examples of kids being able to escape abuse? Are you stupid or something? Kids don't tell because well....they're kids! And when you have adults kicking your a** then threatening to kill you or family members if they tell...guess what? They're not going to tell. Actually, here's a candy bar and a teddy bear. Go back to watching Maury.

Actual answer: some kids are horrible little shits, and they should be disciplined with spanking. But they shouldn't be hit straight in the face with a frying pan and then whipped with a belt till they pass out.

But you need to remember that it goes both ways. You can't just place blame.

I think it's the parents fault when their children are beating each other up, or even the parents themselves! They're the ones reinforcing negative behavior and tolerating it-- as as parent, it's your responsibility to teach good conflict resolution skills, learn to respect each other, and acknowledge boundaries.

And the children who are abused are in very delicate and difficult situations. In my lifetime, I knew 10 people who were sexually abused and yes, they made excuses as to why it happened to them, because when you are a child you believe it was your fault and somehow, you did something to deserve that "punishment". And yes, they should tell someone but unless you've been there yourself or knew someone in that situation, you can't really talk.

No today most of these kids are growing up around other kids who think that they are invincible and are really into the whole gangster thing...thinking that they know the world and can take everyone on...so yes i do think that how they act during childhood does affect their adult lives

If you're talking about children being abusive to their families, I believe that this too can happen aside from the abuse brought about by the family to the child.

Technically, however, abuse happens when the abuser has greater power or higher in position than the person being abused, so children being cruel to their own families isn't always abuse. They are just being children WITHOUT discipline!

Abuse is a cycle, and in my opinion, most of the time, it is a LEARNED BEHAVIOR.

Some children do have anger issues... and because of what has happened to them -- whether their parents argue and fight, or they have seen and heard negative things in their homes, ect.

Children abuse their parents, because their parents are NOT consistent with them, don't respect them at a young age (we are taught to respect others as the result of how we are treated as small children, and if our parents don't bother respecting us first, we are doomed!). Children may feel abandoned or neglected because their parent is too busy to pay attention or spend quality time with them -- some would rather watch TV or go out with friends, than give their kids the time of day.

I've seen Murry and Dr Phil, too, and these kids come from homes where the parents don't have a clue! We live what we learn in many instances... sadly.

Not all teens beat their own families and rob them.... watch these TV shows you are talking about more carefully and observe the parents....

I don't think a child is responsible for anything. That's why they are children.
It is an adults responsibility not to abuse children.
It is very clear and very logical. there should be no discussion on what a child should and shouldn't do.
Look into Tabula Rasa. It is how we are born. Children are what they learn. If they have been abused because they open their mouths, why would they be expected to say they have been abused?

Do not take TV as reality! come on now a lot of that is staged for ratings .... you think that is real life drama?
With that said, parents are suppose to love and protect their children. Children are at the mercy of their parents. Children learn through their environments and model after the adults in their lives.
the average teen does not do what you described... Yes it does happen , but not as frequently as you are presuming.
I think you are being influenced too much by TV, and not the reality of life.
