Any mom's out there with cesarean surgery complications??? Internal bleeding??? |
I had a cesarean section in July and had severe internal bleeding and a total of 24 units of blood transfused (insane, I know, but it's the truth). I was flown to a different hospital during the time I was bleeding because I emptied out the blood banks. (We live in a small town). About two months later, the same doctor that did my surgery performed another and the other woman also had massive internal bleeding. We are seriously considering a lawsuit, if we indeed have a case, and I am curious as to if there is anyone out there with a similar situation, and what actions were taken, how long did it take, etc?????? I work in an operation room and routinely assist on c-sections. Although I am relatively new to the profession(five years), I can assure you, this is NOT the norm. The problem you may run into if you do try to persue what happen to you legally is that you probably signed a surgical consent, which I'm sure probably stated that one of the complications of this surgery is bleeding. |
