Why is Cerebral Palsy ........................?

On some websites why (including this one) is Cerebral Palsy called a disease, it's not it a condition.

Because they are ignorant and haven't been exposed to it, or know anybody.

Cerebal Palsy is the new term for someone who used to be known as a Spastic.

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/cereb...
These sites both give a good definition of cp.
Nowadays evrything under the sun is being classified as a "disease" including heartburn which has now turned into the ominous sounding "Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease!!

People who have no exposure to conditions like above don't really know the difference - and journalists who don't do their research don't help either. I remember reading an article about someone who "once had Cystic Fibrosis", do your research guys - there is no cure for CF and making people believe that there is does nothing to raise its awareness.

hiya i used to have a guy come in my work who has got cerebal palsy and he is such a nice guy but because people couldnt understand him they would just turn there backs when they seen him coming if anybody wants to read anything about it he has got his own website describibg his condition and there is loads of things that he has still done with his life despite being wheelchair bound and all the other problems that come with it i think it will shock most people on what he has done pls take a look before judging http://www.kevinfrench.com/ thanks.
