Why does my mrsa keep returning as cellulitis? I am in perfect health however I work in a hospital.?

10 months ago I came down with a case of cellulitis in my right leg. A week later I developed an abscess that was lanced and cultured positive for mrsa. It was about 1 to 1.5 inches deep. In 10 months, the cellulitis has reoccured 4 times in the same place. My daughter and my bird have also had + mrsa cultures. We are using bactroban, bleach and hibicleanse. I have been on countless antibiotics over these 10 months, some work some don't. I recently had a blood culture with gram positive stains in the preliminary report however no growth after 5 days and a negative bone scan. The doctors can not culture the cellulitis and the abcess comes days later. The cellulitis is so agressive. It grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch pre hour. If i wait untill the abscess comes it may be too late. I have difficulty convincing the doctors that it is mrsa because it presents different than typical cases. I need help getting adequate treatment next time. Any good articles for non-typical mrsa presentations?

I found that Tea Tree Oil worked miracles on my MRSA infection as an antiseptic/ antibacterial. I was sick with this "super bug" for 1 year or more and no medication was working. I hardly had an immune system left (it infected my blood) and when I found out about Tea Tree Oil and also Manuka Honey which you have to order from New Zealand (only place you can find this special honey) I immediately began to improve. I continued use and the infection completely cleared up. Although it is MRSA and it occasionally wants to come back, I just break out the Tea Tree Oil and the Manuka Honey and like I said, it's just like a miracle. I was even prescribed Vancomycin which is the strongest medication that the contagious disease specialist told me there is. That didn't even work so I know Tea Tree and Manuka Honey really are life savers, literally!

try using vinegar on it it is a fantastic disenfectant

MRSA id a methicilin resistant staph aureaus bacteria that is resistant to most all antibiotics; hence the recurance of your cellulitis. So no matter how many antibiotics you take, your not truly treating the infection.have you tried triple antibiotic cream with the bactroban/ is this area staying dry and clean? Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals during the day? Vitamin C and zinc are excellent healers. I dont know that youll find non typical mrsa infection as the nrsa is atypical tself. Good Luck@
