Does anyone out there have celiac disease?

hello there - I have it! I'm 20 years old and have been dealing with it for almost 2 years...and let me tell you, it sucks not being able to eat 'normal' food, but you'll feel so much better when you don't! The hardest thing for me was adjusting my diet - you'll be surprised how much stuff has gluten in it, and how little subsitutes they have for it. The best thing I can tell you to do is to shop at your local common market or MOM store - anything that sells organic and health food will have a section on 'gluten free' food. Even Giant Eagle has a 'small' section now. You'll have to get use to the different tastes (I still cant eat glutten free bread, bagels and such - it tastes HORRIBLE) but corn meal flour is pretty ok.
