Does government have funds for people with Celiac disease?

I was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. Does the government have funds for college, or help with the cost of food. (As it can be quite expensive and time consuming..) Any other tips you can give me would be appreciated as well, as I am still learning as much as I can. Thank you~

Glad your bro is so lucky..not everyone has the disease at the same severity..but you probably didnt know that. I was looking for a helpful answer not a bored person looking for someone on yahoo to fight with. Thanks anyway. :)

Hey..this is serious question..I think you must also see responsible source of information ..Cause you may get help then...otherwise government might be giving some facilities but we people might not be knowing......

But I am sure you will recuperate soon...& tell me the good news then..Just be confident..
cheers!

I seriously doubt it. It's no more a disability than diabetes is. Try the website for the Celiac Organization and see if they have anything to offer in the way of assistance or advice.

You are not crippled and you do not need "special" food unless you want to do your own baking. You are not entitled to government help because you are not disabled. My brother is a celiac, and he has educated himself through the internet, etc. about what he needs to live a healthy life. He knows as much as any nutritionist. Put your hand back in your pocket and keep it out of mine. There are people out there with conditions much worse than celiac sprue who aren't getting government handouts. Research the national support organization for celiacs and ask them for information.
