My eleven year old daughter is a type one diabetic and we just found out that she needs a biopsy to see if she has Celiac Disease. A great book is "Celiac Disease: The Hidden Epidemic" I dont remeber the author, but the book describes how the immune system works, describes in detail autoimmune reactions (like celiac and diabetes), it basiclly talks about how the body works and why your daughter can not have gluten.
