Cavities???? |
i just found i have 2 cavities, but they are small so i will not need a needle to num it. will it hurt? Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. Before you panic, they could be stains in the small fissures or pits of your molars. See your dentist and if they are that small you should need no needle. However, talk to h/her about getting sealants and have h/her go over your brushing and flossing to make sure you are doing it right. Small cavities can be totally prevented. yes probably well of course they have 2 put a needle to numb it because they have 2 clean the hole first before they apply the silver, unless u can resist the pain. and honestly, honestly, it does hurt a little im not gonna lie! it feels just like when u eat something sweet and then u get that sweettooth pain kind of thing, thats only when they clean the cavity. i have 4 large cavities, so u are very lucky! It depends if you've got a good dentist, if it hurts just raise your hand to tell them to stop. I've had a few done without anesthetic and it's the vibration not the drill that causes discomfort. you'll feel a pinch. trust me though, it's better to get the small needle pinch than have a root canal or anything worse by not taking care of your teeth. You should try using one of the electric toothbrushes that are small and circular to reach all your teeth. It was helpful for me. |
